Are you excited about your FeetUp and want to show the world?
Excellent. We can't wait to see what you come up with!

It warms our heart to see new photos and videos pop up every day from users around the world eager to share their FeetUp enthusiasm. Not only does the trainer make inversions easier to enjoy, it empowers us to confidently explore our range of movement and motion-- both on the ground and upside-down.

These days, it's pretty easy to take a picture to share with others with all the internets and smart phones and instagrams and such. Here are a few things to keep in mind when taking a picture or video to post online when using the FeetUp Trainer:

#1 Safety First

While it should go without saying, your health and wellbeing is all that matters to us. Even though the FeetUp is incredibly safe and stable, it’s only as stable as the surface it’s on and as safe as the person who uses it. Practice slowly, practice often, and remember to show up for yourself before showing off for others.

#2 Bring a Friend… or a Tripod

Having someone else take the photo will save you a lot of time and effort in trying to get that perfect shot, provided they know what you’re looking for. Discuss what you want before you begin, including shapes and camera angles, so you can focus on your practice instead of stopping and starting. Don’t have a friend? Use a tripod, run a video and take a screenshot of the frame you enjoy most!

#3 Shoot Low, Aim High

The real magic happens where the rubber meets the road… or, when it comes to your FeetUp, where your shoulders meet the cushion. Taking a photo from the top down can often look awkward and tends to focus on the wrong parts of the body. Try aiming your camera around hip level or lower for inversions— you can always angle upwards or step back to take in the bigger picture!

#4 Keep it Simple!

We can’t stress this enough: complicated poses look complicated. There is elegance in clean, straight lines and basic poses. This is not to say you shouldn’t get creative when playing around and shooting photos, just make sure whatever you’re doing feels good before worrying about how good it looks! Another thing to keep simple: the background! Let the pose speak for itself.

#5 Protect Your Neck

Want to know the easiest way to tell the difference between someone knows how to properly use a FeetUp and someone who wants to show off a pretty practice? It’s all in their head. Let your neck hang neutral— don’t lift to look backwards, twist deeply from side to side, or tuck your chin.

#6 Trust Your Self

As long as you’re being safe and having fun, there are endless possibilities for enjoying magic moments with your FeetUp. All of these tips (with the exception of #1) are simply suggestions. Feel free to experiment and see for yourself— Listen to your inner teacher, trust the photographer within, and please share with us what you come up with!
